   In many states across the nation, you now have the power to choose the Energy Supplier you want to buy your electricity or natural gas from. 

 Your energy will always continue to be delivered by the same local utility company you have always had. The only difference is you can benefit by choosing an alternative Supplier operating

   Before Deregulation, you had no choice of suppliers. The local utility company simply told you what you had to pay for your electricity and/or natural gas services each month. You had no other choice. You could only purchase your utility services from your local utility company. They continue to own and are responsible for maintaining the entire infrastructure, including the gas pipes or the electric wires that deliver the energy to your business. They will continue to respond to outages and emergencies.  

   The only difference is they are now paid to deliver someone else’s energy to you over their delivery system. They continue to earn profits on delivering your electricity or natural gas, up to certain margins as allowed by their state regulatory agencies.  
  

   That means you can now shop for the actual electricity or natural gas form a different Supplier.
